Psychotherapy fees
Private health insurance (PKV)
Private health insurers typically cover online psychotherapy when carried out by a state-licensed therapist registered in the medical register – as I am. I invoice according to the current fee schedule for psychotherapists (GOP).
Please check with your insurer before starting therapy:
- Is psychotherapy covered by my policy?
- Is purely online therapy (via secure video call) covered?
- How many sessions are reimbursed, and to what extent?
- Is prior authorisation required?
- How many sessions are possible without prior authorisation?
I am happy to support you with the authorisation process and can provide a clinical report if required.
Civil service / Beihilfe
Civil servants and others entitled to Beihilfe (government assistance) or Heilfürsorge (e.g. police officers, soldiers) can typically have therapy costs partly reimbursed. I invoice according to the current GOP (as of 01 July 2024).
Depending on your state or employer, Beihilfe covers a set percentage of treatment costs. Any remaining portion may be covered by a supplementary private health insurance policy.
Please check the following before starting therapy: whether online psychotherapy is accepted, how many sessions are covered, and what documents must be submitted.
